MOSCOW, July 14./ITAR-TASS/. Some 20,000 Ukrainian refugees have received medical assistance in Russia since June, Viktor Yatsutsenko, the chief of the national crisis management centre of the Russian emergencies ministry, said on Monday.

“As many as 19,000 Ukrainian citizens sought medical assistance. More than 2,300 of them were hospitalized,” he said.

The Russian emergencies ministry has organized a mobile hospital in the town of Donetsk in Russia’s southern Rostov region bordering Ukraine to provide first aid medical services to Ukrainian refugees. The hospital has helped 200 Ukrainians, Yatsutsenko noted.

“As many as 100 babies were born at temporary accommodation centres,” he added.

As of today, according to the Russian emergencies ministry, a total of 341 temporary accommodation centres for Ukrainian refugees have been organized across Russia. As many as 23,843 people, including 9,295 children, have been given shelter at these centres. The majority of these centres are located in Russia’s Central, Southern, North Caucasian federal districts, and in Crimea.
