No Ukraine military company applies to participate in Moscow region largest arms show

MOSCOW, July 08./ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian companies operating in the military and industrial sector did not apply for the first time to participate in an international forum on technologies in machine-building and an international exhibition of weapons, technologies and innovations Oboronexpo, a representative of the organising committee of the arms show told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

These events will be held in Moscow regional town of Zhukovsky on August 13-17.

“In fact, no Ukrainian companies have applied to us to attend the forums yet,” the representative said.

For his part, a source in the Ministry of Industry and Trade told ITAR-TASS that official invitations for the forum on technologies in machine-building were sent to all permanent partners in the event, including Ukrainian representatives. “Invitations were sent not yesterday, but they were extended for sure. Whether the Ukrainian delegation will arrive or not is already the second question,” he added.

Meanwhile, Russia has not restricted co-operation with anyone, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Co-operation Alexander Fomin commented to ITAR-TASS on participation of foreign partners in the foresaid events. “With Ukraine, as well. We call only for a constructive approach,” he added.
