Over 18,000 Ukrainian refugees stay at Russia’s temporary accommodation facilities
Russia’s emergencies ministry (EMERCOM's) aviation and vehicles deliver refugees to regions in the Southern, North-Caucasus and Central Federal Districts of Russia
MOSCOW, July 07. /ITAR-TASS/. Over the past day, Russia’s emergencies ministry (EMERCOM) has organised seven more temporary accommodation facilities for refugees coming in from Ukraine, the authority’s spokesman Aleksander Drobyshevsky told ITAR-TASS on Monday.
“Presently, already 297 facilities house 18,650 people - by 100 people more than a day earlier,” he said.
From the Rostov region and Crimea, to where most refugees come, EMERCOM’s aviation and vehicles deliver them to other regions in the Southern, North-Caucasus and Central Federal Districts.
“Thus, we have transported over seven thousand refugees,” the spokesman said.
In the Donetsk near the Rostov region, where a tent camp for refugees is organized, the Southern rescue team of the regional branch of EMERCOM has opened a mobile hospital. Ukraine’s 30 citizens have received assistance from doctors working at the hospital.
