MOSCOW, July 01. /ITAR-TASS/. A next meeting between Russian State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin and Georgian prime minister’s special envoy for relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze in the framework of the Russian-Georgian informal dialogue will be held in Prague on July 9, as was initially planned, the Russian foreign ministry said on Tuesday after a telephone conversation between the two diplomats.
“The sides discussed issues of the preparation for the forthcoming consultations between experts from the two countries’ economic ministries due in Prague within days,” the ministry said.
The Prague consultations will focus on prospects for the development of trade-and-economic relations between the two countries after Georgia’s signing of the association and free trade zone agreement with the European Union. “Obviously, this event will impact bilateral relations in the sphere of economy, so, it is important to jointly analyze new aspects and factors arising in this context,” the ministry noted.
