MOSCOW, July 01. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia is not interested in formats of international contacts where it has the role of an outside observer.
“We should not pay with our vital interests just for being allowed to sit nearby,” Putin said at a meeting with Russian ambassadors.
“So these formats are not very interesting for us,” he said. “I hope this evident thing should eventually become clear for our partners as well.”
The president explained that he is talking about formats in which Russia “is given the role of an outside observer who does not have the final say on key issues of vital importance for us."
