Russia's Armed Forces have recently been involved in a series of large-scale military drills and snap combat readiness check
The troops of Russia's Central military District have held exercises at the Yurginsky testing range in Siberia's Kemerovo Region as part of a combat readiness check.
A snap comprehensive check of the operational readiness of the Central Military District troops has been in progress since June 21 in accordance with an order issued by Russia's Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The check-up involves 65,000 servicemen and about 5,500 units of armament and military hardware.

Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said earlier military drills and surprise combat readiness checks held in the Russian Armed Forces lately have demonstrated that Russian troops can efficiently perform real combat missions.
