Russian and British diplomats discuss Ukraine's crisis resolution

MOSCOW, June 26. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin has emphasized the need to extend the truce in Ukraine.

Karasin and British Ambassador to Russia Tim Barrow discussed the situation in Ukraine on Thursday.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on major international and regional issues.

Karasin and Barrow stressed the importance of starting negotiations between Kiev and Ukraine’s southeast and searching for mutually acceptable decisions on the resolution of the crisis.

The high-ranking diplomats called for avoiding the language of ultimatums that hamper international efforts, particularly the work of OSCE observers in Ukraine.
