Russia hopes Ukraine to heed to positive signals, begin nationwide dialogue

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister notes that Ukrainian authorities will search for solutions to improve the situation, develop a new Constitution (in Ukraine), respect the Russian language

MOSCOW, June 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia hopes that Ukraine will heed to positive signals and will begin a nationwide dialogue, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said on Wednesday after a meeting of three committees of Russia’s Federation Council parliament upper house which decided to support refusal from use of Russian military forces in Ukraine.

“The presidential proposal to cancel the March 1 resolution was debated. All arguments were studied. Right three Federation Council committee decided unanimously to back this proposal,” Karasin noted.

“We hope that positive signals which the Russian president is sending will be heard in the world, primarily in Ukraine, the process of mutually respectable search for solutions to improve the situation, develop a new Constitution (in Ukraine), de-centralisation, respect to the Russian language will be heeded to,” the diplomat stated.

“Decisions to this effect will be taken already at talks between leaders of south and east Ukraine,” he added.

“Cancellation of permission in the resolution only builds up Russia’s political position,” the Russian deputy foreign minister said.
