SIMFEROPOL, June 24. /ITAR-TASS/. European states debating sanctions should understand that Crimea's accession into Russia is irreversible, the republic's acting head has warned.

EU sanctions now targeting the new Russian territory represent “a deadlock situation, including for the European Union. They [EU states] deprive themselves of a possible sales market for their produce and involvement in Crimea's investment program,” said Sergey Aksyonov.

“I recommend to the EU states to live on friendly terms with us,” he said, noting the pressure from the USA aimed at punishing the peninsula.

“We advise EU governments to take this issue attentively and realize that the regime of pressure leads to nothing good," Aksyonov said.

“Crimean residents will surely not permit anyone to dictate their will. Crimea is incorporated in the Russian Federation.”
