Peacekeeping brigade begins fire drills in southern Ural region
The complex surprise drill has been held in the military district since June 21 on the orders from President Vladimir Putin and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu
MOSCOW, June 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Formations of the 15th separate motor rifle peacekeeping brigade from the Central Military District came to firing range Totskoye in southern Ural’s Orenburg Region after a 350km march by military hardware and immediately began fire drills from tanks T-72 and infantry combat vehicles BMP-2, the press service and information department of the Russian Defense Ministry told ITAR-TASS.
Tank and motor rifle formations of the brigade are fulfilling fire drills by anti-tank guided missiles, artillery shells and from weapons of infantry combat vehicles on standard immobile and moving targets.
For the first time, fire drills are being monitored with the use of Granat-1 drones.
After many kilometers of marches, military units from Samara are being stationed in designated areas within surprise drills of military forces in the Central Military District.
Logistic support for redeployment of troops and organization of commandant’s service were drilled during the march.

Around 65,000 servicemen from the Armed Forces and military command, more than 180 warplanes, around 60 helicopters, more than 5,500 units of weapons and military hardware are involved in surprise drills.
