MOSCOW, June 20. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian Investigative Committee has launched procedural checking into the fact of shelling the Russian territory near the city of Novoshakhtinsk from the Ukrainian territory, the Committee’s spokesperson Vladimir Markin said.

"At present, fighting is under way near Dolzhansk in the Ukrainian territory during the territory of Russia was shelled,” Markin went on to say.
He explained that the battle was taking place in the border area and that the shells were reaching the Russian territory.
A group of investigators has immediately left for inspecting and registering the evidence that the territory of Russia had been shelled.
Markin said that the Investigative Committee would pass a procedural decision after the inspection.
