According to the regional department of the Russian Security Service’s (FSB) Border Guard Service, all checkpoints on the Rostov region border operate in routine mode

ROSTOV-ON-DON, June 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Usual flows of people and cars are reported at all but one checkpoint on Russia's Rostov region border with Ukraine, officials say.

“On our side, all checkpoints [on the Rostov region border] operate in a routine regime and flows of people and cars are reported in both directions,” Vasily Malayev, spokesperson for the regional department of the Russian Security Service’s (FSB) Border Guard Service, told ITAR-TASS.

“The only checkpoint that stopped border procedures is the Kuibyshevo multi-way automobile border crossing point as Ukraine does not allow people to go through,” he said.

Conditions have been reported differently in other areas, however. On Tuesday, Russia's Federal Agency for Development of State Border Facilities (Rosgranitsa) reported Ukraine unilaterally shutting down three vehicle and one railway border crossings along with four other checkpoints in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of eastern Ukraine, neighboring Rostov.

On Friday, the FSB Border Guard Service said Ukraine had barred Russians from entering the country through the Shebekino-Pletnevka checkpoint in Russia’s southwestern Belgorod region.
