BAKU, June 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has expressed hope to discuss the unrest in Ukraine with the Azerbaijani leaders and synchronize stances on other international issues.

“We maintain regular contacts under the decisions, taken by the presidents of our countries,” Lavrov said at talks with Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mamedyarov on Wednesday.

“Bilateral contacts between our countries are intensive. Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin is expected to arrive [in Azerbaijan] any day,” Lavrov added.

Cooperation within international formats “raises many issues for the agenda”, he noted.
