MOSCOW, June 17./ITAR-TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Facebook that “those who call themselves the authorities” of Ukraine are to blame for the death of Russian journalist Igor Kornelyuk.
All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) has confirmed the death of its journalist Igor Kornelyuk near Luhansk.
“The VGTRK reporter wounded in a shelling off Luhansk has died,” the report said. Cameraman Viktor Denisov, who worked with Kornelyuk, is alive, according to the television company. Kornelyuk was 37. He was born in Ukraine's Zaporozhye region. He is survived by his wife and a 7-year-old daughter.
