Russia’s government assigns over 400 million rubles for Crimea support

All in all, 339.93 million rubles were assigned for the development of plant growing sector

MOSCOW, June 12. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian government has assigned more than 400 million rubles for the support of the economically important regional programs aimed at agriculture development in the spheres of plant and animal farming in Crimea and Sevastopol. Relevant document was posted on the Cabinet’s official website on Thursday.

All in all, 339.93 million rubles were assigned for the development of plant growing sector, including 310.86 million rubles to the Crimean republican budget, and 29.07 million rubles - to the Sevastopol budget. Besides, 69.87 million rubles were injected for the support animal farming, including 65.83 million rubles to the Republic of Crimea and 4.04 million rubles to Sevastopol.

The subsidies were allotted in compliance with the agreements signed between Russia’s Agriculture Ministry and related state bodies of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, as a city with a special federal status on the Crimean Peninsula.
