MOSCOW, June 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) prevented large terrorist attacks planned on Victory Day, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov told a session of the National Antiterrorist Committee on Tuesday.

"In May, agents of secret services together with law-enforcement bodies exposed and foiled the plans to prepare large terrorist attacks during the celebration of the 69th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War," said Bortnikov, who is NAK chairman.

As an example, he referred to the arrest in Crimea of members of Ukraine’s far-right radical organization Right Sector who had been preparing terrorist attacks during public events near the Eternal Fire memorial and the monument to Lenin in Simferopol on May 9.
