MOSCOW, June 05. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s leading machine building company Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) will skip the largest international land and air-land defense and security exhibition Paris Eurosatory 2014 scheduled for June16-20.

The company has refused to put on display its two new vehicles - the modernized main battle tank T-90 and the fire support combat vehicle BMPT-72, titled Terminator-2, which have been expected at the Eurosatory exhibition, with special stalls reserved for them, the company’s CEO Oleg Sienko told ITAR-TASS.

This measure follows the decision of Russia's main defense export agency Rosoboronexport to curtail its participation in European defense and security exhibitions and focus more on similar events in other regions, such as Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.

“We have changed our mind about the participation in Eurosatory 2014 due to the sanctions the West has imposed on Russia. We decided to demonstrate our full-scale armor exhibits at shows in those regions where Russian arms are in great demand”, Sienko said.
