The container train was carrying Renault spare parts from Romania to Moscow

MOSCOW, May 20. /ITAR-TASS/. The company operator of the train that has derailed in the Moscow Region on Tuesday is a Ukrainian company, a spokesperson for Russian Railways (RZD) told ITAR-TASS.

The source said that the container train was carrying Renault spare parts from Romania to Moscow.

He added that, judging by the stamping on the platforms of the freight train, the rolling stock belongs to the Ukrainian State Center of Transport Service (SCTS) ‘Lyski’, a structural subsidiary of the State Administration of Railway Transport of Ukraine.

SCTS ‘Lyski’ engages in railway and intermodal transport of transit and export-import cargoes in containers and freight forwarding by rail and other means of transport.

On Tuesday, at 12:32 Moscow time (08:32 GMT) 16 cars of a freight train derailed between Nara and Bekasovo-1 stations of the Moscow Railway and collided with a passenger train No.341 Moscow – Chisinau.
