RIF+CIB conference opens outside Moscow to discuss Runet problems
MOSCOW, April 23. /ITAR-TASS/. A three-day RIF+CIB conference, which unites the Russian Internet Forum (RIF) and the Conference Internet and Business (CIB), opens in a Moscow neighbourhood on Wednesday.
Organizers expect that the conference that is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Russian-language segment of the worldwide web will draw about 8,500 participants. The conference will begin with a review report and will late proceed in about 100 panel sessions, a spokesman for the Russian Association of Electronic Communications, the conference’s organizer, told Itar-Tass.
Participants will discuss practically all problems facing the Russian Internet industry, including the development e-trade, information security, Runet domain expansion, development of services on the basis of open information. It is also planned to discuss ways to ensure children’s security in the web, possibilities of using social networks in business and the future of the so-called Internet of Things.
The forum’s programme also features an exhibition of the latest developments. Among exhibitors will be the leaders of the Internet industry, such as Yandex, Google, Mail.ru, Rostelecom, Vimplecom, Kaspersky Lab, 1C, Microsoft, and others.
RIF+CIB is an annual conference dedicated to the problems of Runet. Initially, the Russian Internet Forum and the Conference Internet and Business developed separately from 1997 to 2009, when they united. RIF+CIB conferences are held under the support of the Russian Federal Agency for the Press and Mass Communications and the Ministry of Mass Communications.
