Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and the Supremacy of Law Konstantin Dolgov has pointed out yet another demonstration of double standards by the US and EU in their assessment of the situation in Ukraine

MOSCOW, April 10. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and the Supremacy of Law Konstantin Dolgov has pointed out yet another demonstration of double standards by the US and EU in their assessment of the situation in Ukraine.

“Extremists have beaten the presidential candidate Oleh Tsariov,” the diplomat wrote on his Twitter. “Where were the law enforcers? Are they preparing for suppression of protesters in Donetsk? Is this democracy of Maidan sort? Where is the West’s reaction? Where is the condemnation of plans to disperse by force the people who are not happy because their legitimate aspirations are ignored?” Dolgov continued.

“(We see) double standards again in the positions of the US and EU,” the diplomat said. “This is the continuation of vicious encouragement of extremism, xenophobia and Neo-Nazism, which rule in Kiev.”

The presidential candidate Oleh Tsariov arrived in Nikolayev on April 8 to visit the people who were injured in clashes at the regional administration office. Activists of the Right Sector radical nationalist movement  pelted him with eggs and beat him.
