Ferry and air service volume with Crimea to grow by summer vacation season
For that purpose, the authorities are planning to improve transport service
SIMFEROPOL, April 10. /ITAR-TASS/. The number of ferries employed in the ferry service to Crimea across the Kerch strait and the number of flights to Crimea will be increased by the beginning of the summer vacation season, Chairman of the Crimean State Council Vladimir Konstantinov declared at a meeting of a Commission that supervises health resorts and tourism.
This year Crimea was given a task to accommodate eight million tourists or two million more than last year, which was a record high tourist season in Crimea in recent years, Konstantinov said. "All the sanatoriums. boarding houses and a private sector should be full up," Konstantinov stressed.
For that purpose, the authorities are planning to improve transport service, he said. "We are buying more ferries, and their number will be sufficient to solve the problem of the transportation of vacationers to Crimea," Konstantinov said.
