KRASNODAR, April 04. /ITAR-TASS/. The number of ferry departures from the port of Kavkaz to Crimea has increased three times, from eight to 22 a day, with only hour-long intervals, a source of the ferry service operating company Anroskrym told ITAR-TASS on Friday.

The sea crossing route between the Krasnodar Territory and neighboring Crimea is very popular among transport companies, he notes. The ferry service is also used to deliver humanitarian cargoes, coming from all over Russia, to Crimea.

The service became more frequent also after the customs were closed when Crimea joined Russia. The fare remains the same 162 roubles ($4.6) for an adult passenger ticket and 81 roubles ($2.3) for a child. It costs 1,190-1,688 ($34-48) to take a car, from 2,632 ($75) for a bus and from 2,401 ($68) for a truck.

Kerchensky-2 (built in 1978), Eysk (1988) and Nikolai Aksyonenko (2013) ferries are working on the line.
