BRUSSELS, April 02. /ITAR-TASS/. The European Parliament will host a regular meeting of the European Russian Youth Forum in April, Latvia's European Parliament deputy, Tatiana Zhdanyuk, told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

“The forum aims to contribute to the consolidation of Russian-speaking young people and to help them realize their potential in political, economic, cultural and other spheres of the European Union’s life in the future,” Zhdanyuk said. “A topical subject has been suggested for discussion, namely ‘Moral and family values as current problems of Russian compatriots living in the EU’.”

Zhdanyuk said the forum should gather members of the European Alliance of Russian-Speaking Youth and human rights experts from twelve EU countries.

Zhdanyuk is a member of the forum’s organising committee and co-chairwoman of the For Human Rights in United Latvia party. She became known by protecting rights of ethnic Russians in Latvia.
