MOSCOW, March 23, /ITAR-TASS/. The XIV International Congress of Magicians will open in Moscow on Sunday, assembling the world best magicians. This year the organizers are going to please the audiences with a “Parade of Miracles” that will take place at the cultural center of the Moscow plant ZIL alongside traditional contest. The artists will include magician Lucas Lee, the founder of the Korean school of magicians; Rimas Navickas, French Magician Boris Wild; Vlad Krivonogov of Ukraine as well as Vladimir Rudnev, Anatoly Nemetov, Boris and Yelena Miroshnichenko, Roman Borsch and other magicians.

Winners in the Stage Magic nomination, whose names will become known several hours before the fantastic show starts, will also demonstrate their skills and mastery.

Other contests will take place at the Moscow Central House of Art Workers on March 24 and 25 in nominations “Micro Magic”, “Mental Magic” and “Children’s Contest.” There will be three prizes and one Grand Prix in each nomination. The winners will receive diplomas, memorable prizes and cash bonuses. But the biggest bonus will be a possibility to represent Russia at the World Championship of Magic in Rimini, Italy, in 2015. An international jury will select the best. Eric Eswin, the FISM ex-president, will be the jury’s honorary member.

Masters of Russian and foreign schools of magicians will hold seminars and master classes. “This is the biggest forum of magicians and the biggest feast for representatives of our unusual profession,” Vladimir Rudnev, the president of the Russian Association of Magicians, said. “As a rule, artists attending such congresses return home inspired and full of creative plans because they have a chance to share experience and show tricks to each other. They also learn new secrets of the art of magic,” Rudnev went on to say.

Russia hosted the first Congress of Magicians in 1982. It was held in Moscow on the initiative of Vladimir Rudnev. Representatives of the mysterious profession have started meeting regularly since then. The first open contest which later got the status of an international congress was held in 2001. Over the years, the art forum has attracted the world’s outstanding magicians, including Eric Eswin; French Magician David Stone; stage magician Levent from the United States; Marc Oberon of Britain; Lennart Green of Sweden and Henry Evans of Argentina.
