Putin and Lavrov discuss proposals on crisis settlement in Ukraine to be sent to US

Lavrov also briefed Putin on the contents of the document stating the American vision of the situation in Ukraine

SOCHI, March 10, 18:04 /ITAR-TASS/. President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov are discussing Russian proposals on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, which will be sent to the United States.

“We prepared, together with members of the Russian Security Council, our counter-proposals [for the U.S.]. They aim to put the situation on the basis of international law and take into account the interests of all Ukrainians without exception,” Lavrov said. 

“We agreed to discuss these proposals at today’s meeting. I hope that immediately after that we will be able to hand them over to our partners in order to continue the dialogue,” the minister said.

Lavrov also briefed Putin on the contents of the document stating the American vision of the situation in Ukraine, which had been sent to the Russian foreign minister by Kerry.
