MOSCOW, March 07. /ITAR-TASS/. Lawmakers of State Duma lower house of parliament propose to merge and submit in the Russian Investigative Committee four criminal cases which were opened over threats against governors of several Russian regions bordering Ukraine. Chairperson of the State Duma committee for security and counteraction to corruption from United Russia Irina Yarovaya has sent an address to Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin on Friday.

“As these are crimes committed by far-right Ukrainian organizations against chief executives of Russian constituent entities who are particularly in charge of ensuring security of life and health of people, I believe that these criminal cases should be merged and passed for proceedings in the Investigative Committee and exhaustive measures should be taken to curb criminal actions,” the Russian lawmaker told reporters.

Criminal cases were opened over threats to Russian governors from a far-right Ukrainian organization right in four Russian regions, spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin told Itar-Tass on Friday.

“Over the past day threats for use of violence against governors of several Russian regions and their relatives are coming over dramatic events in Ukraine. Investigative bodies of the Russian Investigative Committee in Belgorod, Kursk, Bryansk and Voronezh regions opened criminal cases under Article 318 Part 1 of Russian Criminal Code for threats to use violence against state officials and their relatives,” he said.
