MOSCOW, February 03, (ITAR-TASS). The Russian transport ship Progress M-20M has undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) to be de-orbited and dumped in the Pacific on February 11, the Mission Control Centre said on Monday, February 3.

“The undocking went smoothly. The ship will go on an eight-day autonomous flight, during which a space experiment called Izgib [Curve] will be conducted,” Mission Control said.

The purpose of the experiment is to study the impact of onboard systems on the ISS operation.

Progress M-20M docked with the ISS on July 28, 2013.

The next transport ship of the same series will be launched to the ISS from Baikonur, Kazakhstan, on February 5. It is scheduled to dock with the ISS at 02:26 Moscow time on February 6.
