Moscow traffic police press service confirms resignation of chief

MOSCOW, January 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Chief of the Moscow traffic police department Alexander Ilyin has tendered his resignation in connection with his retirement, the head of the department's press service, Andrei Galiakberov, confirmed to Itar-Tass.
Ilyin is on holiday from this Wednesday with further retirement on a pension. He has handed in his resignation, Galiakberov said. The resignation will be considered, he added.
Earlier, a source in Moscow police told Itar-Tass that Ilyin had tendered his resignation, adding the Moscow main police department had not criticized his work.
