MOSCOW, January 28. /ITAR-TASS/. The Moscow mayor's office has offered an alternative route to the opposition who are planning a march in support of Bolotnaya square prisoners on February 2. The Mayor's office has suggested that the expected 15,000 protesters should walk from Strastnoi Boulevard as far as Chistoprudny Boulevard (down the boulevard ring), Chief of the regional security department of the Moscow administration Alexei Mayorov told Tass.

Earlier, one of the organizers of the protest march, Pyotr Tsarkov, said that the negotiations on the protest march called "Release Bolotnaya prisoners", had ended with no result on Tuesday.

The opposition had been planning to march from Beloruskaya railway station down Tverskaya street as far as Manezhnaya square so as to draw attention to the march and its slogans in the crowded city center.

"No other routes have been discussed on Tuesday. On January 29, we expect the Moscow Mayor's office to give us an official reply in a written form," Tsarkov said.
