Business activity in Moscow remains high despite pessimistic forecasts, Sobyanin says
Moscow construction was the most booming industry both in Russia and in the whole world
MOSCOW, January 23. /ITAR-TASS/. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on Thursday that the Moscow authorities did not feel that business and investment activities in the Russian capital had weakened.
“Despite all the pessimistic forecasts which we sometimes hear from experts we do not feel any decline in the business and investment activities in Moscow. We have already surpassed the pre-crisis level both in terms of financial investments, commercial real estate and the volumes of infrastructure construction,” Sobyanin said at a meeting devoted to Moscow’s urban planning policy and construction.
All the facilities that are built in the city of Moscow are seriously selected.
“If authorities in other regions are happy to earn any ruble or attract any investment, we cannot afford that in Moscow. We sometimes hold complicated consultations and talks with investors to ensure that investments go where they are needed and in volumes that are necessary for the city. The housing development should be integrated,” the Moscow mayor explained.
He noted that the Moscow construction was the most booming industry both in Russia and in the whole world. It plays a crucial role in the development of the Moscow region and the rest of Russia.
