Russia urges all parties of Ukraine crisis to settle problems in legal talks

MOSCOW, January 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia urges all parties to ongoing crisis in Ukraine to settle the problems through talks in constitutional legal field, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told a news conference devoted to the results of 2013 on Tuesday.

“We are quite concerned over current events in Ukraine. We urge all parties concerned to settle the problems through talks, compulsorily in constitutional legal field,” the minister said.

 

‘Indecent conduct’

Earlier, Sergei Lavrov named the conduct of several European politicians towards the situation in Ukraine indecent.

“We would prefer that some our European colleagues had not acted indecently over Ukrainian crisis, when members of several European governments rushed to Kiev’s Independence Square without any invitation, participated in anti-governmental demonstrations in the country, with which they have diplomatic relations,” the minister noted. “This is just indecent, this is exactly what fuels the situation,” Lavrov said.

 

Talks about split in Ukraine provocative

Russia’s foreign minister finds any talks about a split in Ukraine provocative.

“I would not like to back provocative talks over a split in Ukraine, as we are doing our best to avert this and stabilize the situation,” Sergei Lavrov said.
