Russia to take all efforts for Iran nuclear negotiators to promote fulfillment of accords
Sergei Lavrov noted that these agreements should be fulfilled “without any attempts to add any unilateral provisions to them and without any attempts to get beyond international law”
MOSCOW, January 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia will do its best for the efforts taken by the G5+1 group in cooperation with Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the efforts of other members of international community to resolve Iranian nuclear program issue to promote “decent fulfillment of everything we agreed upon.” This Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said after talks with Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif in the Russian capital on Thursday.
The minister noted that these agreements should be fulfilled “without any attempts to add any unilateral provisions to them and without any attempts to get beyond international law.” “This is our principled position,” Lavrov noted.
The Russian foreign minister recalled that “the resolution of Iranian nuclear program issue is going on in line with those agreements that were reached at talks between Iran and the G5+1 group.” “Ministers have approved of the principles, then experts have agreed on practical steps and their fulfillment will begin this week on January 20,” the minister recalled.
