Two persons wounded in Volgograd bombing attacks released from hospital
As many as 62 people are still in hospital in Volgograd and in Moscow
VOLGOGRAD, December 31, 20:12 /ITAR-TASS/. Two persons who were wounded in the terrorist attacks in Russia’s southern city of Volgograd have been released from hospital, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets said on Tuesday.
“The number of those hospitalized has reduced. Two persons have been released, they will celebrate the New Year Eve at home,” she said.
As many as 62 people are still in hospital in Volgograd and in Moscow.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the regional health ministry told Itar-Tass that 17 patients are in grave and critical condition. The majority of patients have burns and mine wounds.
Two terrorist attacks have been staged in the city of Volgograd over the past few days. On Sunday, a suicide bomber detonated explosives at the entrance to the waiting hall of Volgograd’s central railway station.
On Monday, a suicide bomber blew up a trolleybus in the morning rush hour. According to latest reports, these attacks claimed 34 lives. About 100 people were wounded.
