3-month girl hurt in Volgograd bombing attack to be taken for treatment to Moscow
VOLGOGRAD, December 31, /ITAR-TASS/. A three-month baby girl who was wounded in a terrorist attack in Russia’s southern city of Volgograd will be taken for treatment to Moscow on Wednesday, January 1, after her father gave his consent for that, governor of the Volgograd region Sergei Bozhenov told journalists.
“The baby will be evacuated around midday. The father has given his consent. Everything will be done to make her recover,” he said.
The governor also said that another girl of nine years of age would also be evacuated to Moscow.
The decision to take the children for medical treatment in Moscow was taken at a video conference of the governor of the region, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets and Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova.
