Two girls wounded in Volgograd bombings in stably grave condition
The children’s ombudsman is supervising the issue of giving allowances to the wounded children
MOSCOW, December 31, 12:59 /ITAR-TASS/. Two girls, who were wounded in two terrorist acts staged in the southern Russian city of Volgograd, are in a stably grave condition, Renat Abdeyev, the press secretary of Russian Presidential Commissioner of Children’s Rights Pavel Astakhov, said on Tuesday.
“Commissioner of children’s rights in Volgograd Region Nina Boldyreva noted that two girls wounded in the terrorist acts are in a stably grave condition. They are being treated in children’s intensive care in Volgograd hospital number 7. Today the nine-year-old was disconnected from the lung-and-heart machine and breathes herself. The Moscow medics are expected to arrive to give aid to the second three-month-old girl,” the press service of the country’s children ombudsman said.
The regional health ministry will decide soon whether the two children can be and should be airlifted to Moscow for further treatment.

Two terrorist acts have been staged in the city of Volgograd recently. On Sunday, December 29, the suicide bombing has ripped through the city railway station and another bomb was blasted in a trolleybus on Monday, December 30. Latest reports say the incidents killed 33 and injured more than 70.
A Russian emergency airplane has brought seven people wounded in the suicide bombings in the city of Volgograd to Moscow overnight to Tuesday. Five wounded women and two wounded men were airlifted for treatment in the Russian capital, head of the information department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations Aleksey Vagutovich said. The number of wounded people brought to the Moscow clinics reached 15 and other 50 people are being treated at the local hospitals, the Volgograd authorities said.
