Locomotives hoot in tribute to Volgograd station victims

MOSCOW, December 30. /ITAR-TASS/. Prolonged locomotive hooting has honored the memory of those who died in the terror attack at southern Russia's Volgograd railway station on Sunday.

At 10:00 Moscow time, engines running or halted at railway stations gave whistle blasts in tribute to the victims. A minute of silence was announced at the same time on railway station loud speakers.

Latest reports say 17 people died in the bombing. Volgograd authorities have declared three days of mourning from January 1 to 3.
