Law enforcers have several suspects linked the car explosion in Pyatigorsk

PYATIGORSK, December 29, 3:57 /ITAR-TASS/. Law enforcers reported on December 28 that they suspected several people of complicity to the car explosion in Pyatigorsk, the Stavropol territory, on December 27, in which three people died.

“Police have a description of one of the explosion’s possible organizers. The exploded car belongs to a resident of the local village of Vinsady. Police are establishing his links to the incident,” police sources told Itar-Tass.

Yuri Turygin, the prosecutor of the Stavropol territory, has taken the investigation into the car explosion in Pyatigorsk under personal control, a source at the territorial prosecutor’s office told Itar-Tass.

A criminal case has been initiated on several charges of the Russian Penal Code: the murder of two and more people; intentional destruction and damage of property; illegal storage and transportation of explosives; illegal production of weapons; encroachment on the life of a law enforcer.

The blast’s yield was equivalent to 50 kilograms of TNT. Occasional passers-by died in the explosion. They included Ilya Chikharyov (born 1988); Ruslan Kharikovsky (born 1985) and Sergei Nesynov (born 1970).

The investigation is being carried out without any official comments.
