About 177,000 people affected by flood in Far East receive aid

MOSCOW, December 26. /ITAR-TASS/. About 177,000 people affected by the flood in the Far East have received the first compensation, while 6,000 have not received the aid so far, Vice-Premier and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev told the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.

Under the law, two compensations must be paid. The first is one-time pecuniary aid, and 177,000 have received it. There are 6,000 people more whom the money has not been paid yet. The people had no documents or applied late, Trutnev said.

The official assured money would be paid to all. There are people who will receive 100,000-ruble compensation for lost property. The story is the same. It is paid to all who filed documents in time.

Speaking about housing damaged by the flood, the vice-premier said a special commission would examine each of the houses. There are three decisions -- to demolish, to repair or it is in good condition to live. The commission consists of officials, inspection specialists and local residents, he said.

All the houses will be build before September 30, next year, the vice-premier said.
