Ukraine's PM confirms that the National Bank of Ukraine has in fact received the first tranche

MOSCOW, December 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia has bought the first part of Ukraine’s sovereign bonds worth three billion U.S. dollars, RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday at a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov.

“Yesterday, by my instruction and under the signed documents, we bought the first part of sovereign bonds worth three billion dollars, and yesterday they went to the Ukrainian Central Bank,” Medvedev said.

Azarov for his part confirmed that “today, the National Bank of Ukraine has in fact received the first tranche to its account.
