The Long-Range Aviation of the Russian Air Force will receive new-generation strategic bombers PAK DA (prospective aviation complex for long-range aviation), Long-Range Aviation Commander Lieutenant General Anatoly Zhikharev said on the Rossiya 24 news TV channel on Monday.

“The first PAK DA strategic bombers will be delivered to the troops in 2025,” he said.

Zhikharev said that the research and development work on this aviation complex would be launched in 2014, and the first strategic bomber of the series was to perform a flight in 2019.
