Russia will take up ensuring maritime security at the port of Latakia and in the territorial sea of Syria within the scope of assistance in carrying out an operation to eliminate Syrian chemical weapons outside the country, Vassily Titushkin, Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
