MOSCOW, December 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Moscow's Presnya court on Wednesday extended, to next year, the arrest of the chairman of the board of directors of a vegetable warehouse in the city's Biryulyovo district.

The court has decided to meet the investigator's petition to extend Magomed Churilov's arrest to March 16, 2014," a judge said. Earlier, Churilov was charged with masterminding illegal migration.

The vegetable warehouse in Moscow's district of Biryulyovo was shut down after a rally of local residents protesting the high-profile murder of Muscovite Yegor Shcherbakov, 25, overnight to October 10. Angry residents gathered for a meeting on October 13 demanding that the killer be found and punished. They also insisted on checking all the migrants living in the area. They said the warehouse had given shelter to many illegal aliens and that the killer could be found nearby. The protest action escalated to riots in which police detained 400 people.
