Russia, Kazakhstan agree to unblock Proton launches from Baikonur

MOSCOW, December 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and Kazakhstan have agreed to unblock the launches of Proton booster rockets from the Baikonur cosmodrome.

“In fact, we have come to an agreement on the issues concerning the unblocking of Proton launches from the Baikonur cosmodrome with friendly and partnership support of our Kazakh friends,” Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin told reporters on Wednesday. “Along with this we will pay special attention to environmental issues.
