Unit of terrorist organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir eliminated in Russia’s Dagestan

MOSCOW, December 10., /ITAR-TASS/. A large-scale special operation was carried out to bust a unit of the international terrorist organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir Al-islami in the Russian North Caucasian Republic of Dagestan, the Russian Interior Ministry reported on Tuesday.
“The special operation was carried out at 47 places of residence of several members of Hizb ut-Tahrir Al-islami. Two grenades presumably RGN and F-1, electric shockers, a large amount of electronic and printed material with the extremist content, as well as other banned literature, which propagates the ideas of global Halifat, were confiscated,” the ministry said.
During the search at a house where a warlord lived an object resembling a homemade explosive device was found. As much as 700 grams of packed plastid that makes 1.3 kilograms of trotyle have presumably made some part of the explosive device.
“During the special operation 52 people were brought to the police stations and three warlords were arrested,” the Interior Ministry reported. An official of the ministry specified that the investigation is underway against other members of the terrorist organisation to find whether they were involved in any crimes in the North Caucasian Federal District.
“International emissary of the terrorist organisation, Kyrgyz citizen Kazimzhan Sheraliyev was also detained and he is about to be arrested,” the Interior Ministry said.
The ministry reported that the search operation continues to find and detain other members of the international terrorist organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir Al-islami.
The terrorist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir Al-islami was banned in Russia under the verdict, which the Russian Supreme Court had pronounced on February 14, 2003.
