Lavrov plans to meet Kerry in Brussels Wednesday, source says

Several bilateral meetings are on the agenda of Russia's Foreign Minister

BRUSSELS, December 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to hold a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Brussels on Wednesday, a source in the Russian delegation told Itar-Tass.

“Within the framework of the NATO-Russian Council (NRC) ministerial Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov plans a number of bilateral meetings, including with US Secretary of State John Kerry,” the source said.

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that he would discuss with Lavrov the whole range of bilateral relations within the NATO-Russia Council meeting. He stressed that NATO intended to confirm the course for the active co-operation with Russia.

Russia's Foreign Ministry said previously that the meeting participants would exchange views on key international agenda issues related to Euro-Atlantic security (the situation around Syria and in Afghanistan) and discuss problems and prospects of Russia-NATO relations in terms of responding to common risks and security challenges.
