Russia can’t terminate criminal case vs Berezovsky due to lack of death certificate
Back in June 2013 the Russian Investigative Committee has made a request in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to issue Berezovsky’s official death certificate
MOSCOW, December 02. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian Investigative Committee cannot terminate the investigation of the criminal case against late businessman Boris Berezovsky, because Britain had not handed over the official death certificate of the late business tycoon to Russia yet, spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin told Itar-Tass on Monday.
“The problem is that we cannot terminate the criminal case as long as Berezovsky’s official death certificate had not been received yet,” he said.
“Back in June 2013 the Russian Investigative Committee has made a request in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to issue Berezovsky’s official death certificate and the information about the results of the investigation, which the British law enforcement agencies are conducting over this affair. The Investigative Committee has not received a reply to its request yet,” Markin added.
