From Brussels Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will leave for Kiev

BRUSSELS, December 02. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukraine’s situation may be addressed at a ministerial meeting of the Russia-NATO Council due in Brussels on December 4, where Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will take part, a diplomatic source at the North Atlantic Alliance told Itar-Tass on Monday.

Ukraine’s problems were not included on the agenda of the ministerial meeting, but the ministers could raise any theme interesting for them, the source said not ruling out that the foreign ministers of Russia and NATO could use this meeting to exchange opinions on Ukraine.

From Brussels Sergei Lavrov will leave for Kiev, which will host the ministerial meeting of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe on December 5-6.

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen made a statement on Sunday calling on all political forces in Ukraine to show restraint and avoid the use of force.
