Russel will be released from custody as soon as the money arrives

ST.PETERSBURG, November 28. /ITAR-TASS/. The St.Petersburg district court has ruled on Thursday to release radio operator of the Arctic Sunrise, Australian citizen Colin Russel, on bail, Itar-Tass reported from the courtroom.

Russel was accused of taking part in a Greenpeace attack on the Russian oil development platform Prirazlomnaya.

The St. Petersburg city court satisfied an appeal filed by Colin Russel's lawyers who asked to release the defendant on bail. Russel was the only one out of 30 Greenpeace activists whom Russia had earlier denied bail worth two million rubles.

Russel will be released from custody as soon as the money arrives.
