Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich said that the relations between Russia and Ukraine had entered a tailspin

SOCHI, November 28, (ITAR-TASS). Russia is always ready to listen to Ukraine’s arguments on improving the two countries’ interaction, RF presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, commenting on an interview of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich, in which he said that the relations between Russia and Ukraine had entered a tailspin.

“If one side has ideas on possible ways to improve bilateral relations, then the other side will always be ready in the most constructive way to listen to these considerations,” he said.

Peskov noted that RF President Vladimir Putin had said in Trieste on Tuesday that Russia and Ukraine had cooperated and would continue to cooperate further and that the two countries had developed multifaceted relationship.

Commenting on the statements to the effect that Russia has put pressure on Ukraine on the issue of the country’s European integration, Peskov said that Putin had repeatedly stated that the decision of association with the EU should be taken in Kiev and is Ukraine’s sovereign matter. “Russia has nothing to do with the decision itself,” Peskov stressed.
