Storm warning at Nakhodka called off, tanker Hydro is under loading
VLADIVOSTOK, November 27. /ITAR-TASS/. A storm warning has been called off the Far Eastern harbor of Nakhodka Wednesday. The Maltese-flagged huge tanker Hydro is the first to be loaded at Kozmino port. The China-bound tanker, the registry port of which is Valetta, is to take on board about 100,000 tonnes of oil, the Port press service reports.
About 30 other motor ships are also returning to Nakhodka after taking refugee from storm in Vostok ("east") gulf for three days.
Kozmino port has been built at the very exit from the Nakhodka gulf. It is the first to face storms coming from the Sea of Japan (East Sea). Weather has calmed down on Wednesday, enabling the port to resume the shipment of Eastern Siberia oil.
Kozmino is the terminus of the Eastern Siberia--Pacific Ocean oil pipeline. Tankers with a deadweight of 100,000 to 150,000 tonnes moor at the port's piers every three days.
